Modem Responsibility Without Nomad Premier Support: Understanding Your Liability

If you’ve opted not to subscribe to Nomad Premier Support, it’s important to understand your responsibility for the modem provided by Nomad Internet. Without this coverage, you are liable for any damage, misuse, neglect, or unauthorized alterations to the modem. You are also responsible for the full or partial retail cost if the modem is damaged, lost, or stolen. This guide will help you understand your liability and the costs associated with damage or loss based on the modem model and its activation time.

Step 1: Understanding Your Responsibility

Without Nomad Premier Support, you accept full liability for any issues with the modem, including:

  • Damage: This includes physical damage, liquid damage, or internal issues caused by neglect or misuse.
  • Loss: If the modem is lost or stolen, you are responsible for replacing it at the specified retail cost.
  • Unauthorized Alterations: Any modifications or tampering with the modem voids your liability protection.

You must follow Nomad Internet's guidelines to ensure the modem operates properly and remains undamaged. If the modem is lost or damaged, Nomad Internet reserves the right to charge you for repairs or replacement based on the modem's usage and condition.

  • 50% of the retail price for any modem, regardless of how long it has been active.

Step 5: Ensuring Proper Use of Your Modem

To avoid incurring costs for damage or loss, it’s important to follow these modem care guidelines:

  • Keep your modem in a safe, dry, and cool location.
  • Avoid exposing the modem to extreme conditions or tampering with its hardware or software.
  • Use only authorized accessories and cables to avoid damaging the modem.

Step 6: What Happens If Your Modem Is Damaged or Lost

If your modem is damaged or lost, here’s what you can expect:
